Antique Trailer Stolen From Grover Beach Woman

Teresa Schmidt told KCOY 12’s Cory James that finding out her 1967 antique trailer was stolen was “devastating.”

“I feel like a little bit of my heart has been ripped out,” said Schmidt.

Schmidt’s trailer is almost 50 years old. She has “no idea who took it or where or why.”

The vintage mobile has been in Schmidt’s possession for seven years. “I love showing it,” said Schmidt, who goes to different vintage shows across the central coast.

Grover Beach police is using social media to help Schmidt get her trailer back by posting pictures and asking for people to be on the lookout on Facebook.

John Peters, a commander with the Grover Beach Police Department, said this type of theft is a felony, and he said the person responsible for stealing the trailer could spend time in state prison.

The California license plate number on the back of the powder-blue and white missing trailer is FP-1967. Police are asking anyone with information to call (805) 473-4511.
