Local talent gets the spotlight

Singers, dancers, a talking dog and a 94-year old harmonica player all found themselves in the spotlight over the weekend during the Carpinteria Rotary International Talent Showcase.

The event is in its fourth year.

24 acts hit the stage, featuring 53 people, and the crowd was entertained for nearly three hours Saturday night.

There were singers, dancers, pianists, original composers, a storyteller,a talking dog, and a 94-year old harmonica player.

The Rotary Club will uses funds from the event will help to buy new instruments for local schools.
