Courthouse security guard finds gun in woman’s purse
A woman is behind bars tonight accused of passing through the Santa Maria Courthouse security with a loaded gun in her purse.
Santa Barbara County sheriff officials said Nicole Grandy-Smith was attending a court hearing Tuesday.
The gun was seized by police and Smith was arrested for possession of a concealed fire arm.
No word yet if Smith knew the gun was in her purse.
