Four Arrested After High Speed Pursuit

SANTA MARIA — A man led police on a high speed pursuit on Tuesday morning around 4:55 a.m. in a stolen vehicle with passengers in the car.The vehicle drove in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 and exited Betteravia and led police through the city. The vehicle then went on the northbound 101 reaching speeds of up to 100 mph. The California Highway Patrol partially disabled the vehicle with a spike strip near the Spyglass Drive exit. The stolen vehicle exited Avila Beach Road then attempted to get on the freeway again. Officers were able to stop the car. The driver, Bradley Larson, 25, from Tanglewood is a wanted parolee. He was arrested for reckless evading, vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine, transportation of methamphetamine, and a hit and run. He also had two outstanding arrest warrants. The passenger Thomas Clutts, 39, from Santa Maria had two felony warrants. Passengers Laura Alvarez, 41, from Santa Maria, and Nancy Camacho, 20, from Santa Maria were arrested and cited for being under the influence of methamphetamine.
