Ventura Bath Salt Warning

Ventura Police Department has a warning tonight for teens and parents regarding the use of “spice-k-two” and “bath salts”. Over the last two to three months school resource officers have seen an increased number of incidents involving individuals possessing or under the influence of those synthetic substances. About a dozen incidents have involved middle to high school teens and the inexpensive bath salts are snorted or smoked to get high. The latest drug craze has been blamed for the violent, zombie-like attack in Florida where one man had most of his face chewed off earlier this week. More information from the Drug Enforcement Agency can be found from the link below. http://www.justice.gov/dea/pubs/abuse/index.htm.
