Kitten saved from Glass Fire burn zone reunited with its family
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A tortoiseshell kitten, recently saved from a California fire burn zone by a Santa Barbara City firefighter, was finally reunited with its mother and owner.
Bella, a 10-week-old tortie, was found by Amber Anderson, a Wildland Specialist working Damage Assessment in the areas burned by the Glass Fire in Sonoma County.
Anderson said she heard some mewing and discovered the young cat underneath a burned truck near a fire-damaged home.
Anderson took the young kitten to Napa Animal Control where she was cared for and rehabilitated.
On Friday, City Fire reported that Bella's mother and owner were located and she was quickly reunited with her family.
The special moment was captured on camera by CAL FIRE.
