Regal Edwards Theater officially reopens in Santa Maria Town Center Mall
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Regal Edwards Theater located at the Santa Maria Town Center Mall has officially reopened after Santa Barbara County was allowed to move up to the state's red tier for reopening during the pandemic.
The theater announced its reopening on Friday after over a week of preparations.
When welcoming guests back inside, the theater plans to enforce strict CDC guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19 including sanitization procedures, new social distancing protocols and mandatory mask policies for Regal employees and guests while inside.
Regal employees will also undergo daily health screenings including temperature checks where mandated.

The state's "red" tier, classified as "substantial" COVID-19 transmission, allows indoor movie theaters to reopen countywide with auditoriums at 25 percent capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer.
Santa Barbara County was allowed to move to the red tier on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
