Structure fire spreads to vegetation near Santa Margarita
SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. -- Firefighters responded to a structure fire that spread to nearby vegetation in Santa Margarita on Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters received a report of a structure fire on the 3900 block of Parkhill Road in Santa Margarita at around 2:30 pm.
At arrival, firefighters found three outbuildings on fire with potential threat to vegetation around the area.

At around 3:20 pm, Cal Fire said the fire had spread to the surrounding vegetation and had burned one acre.
The fire spread to three acres at which point forward rate of spread had been stopped.
Fire crews will be on scene for four hours to mop up the fire, Cal Fire said.
The cause in under investigation.
