Rollover crash on 101 in Nipomo briefly shuts down freeway
NIPOMO, Calif. - A two-vehicle car crash on the northbound 101 near the 166 in Nipomo shut down the freeway for nearly an hour early Monday morning.
A witness said at least one of the cars involved reached speeds of 100 miles per hour. One of the cars rolled over the 166 on-ramp and off of the freeway.
CHP officers on scene said no one was killed, but ambulances responded to the crash. It's unknown how many people were involved in the crash or the extent of their injuries.
The freeway was closed for roughly 45 minutes before it was reopened. There was heavy fog in the area at the time of the crash.
