Former Carpinteria pre-school director celebrated with car parade for birthday
CARPINTERIA, Calif. -- One Carpinteria resident got a surprise of a lifetime on Tuesday.
Pam Densmore walked out from her Carpinteria home Tuesday evening to be greeted by music, car honks and "Happy Birthdays".
One by one, cars drove by beeping their horns and showering the former preschool director with flowers, cards and loving words.
Densmore's daughter, Andrea Edmundson, a teacher at Canalino Elementary School organized the caravan parade celebration.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing orders do not allow people to gather in big groups in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
Densmore adorned a birthday hat as she held the many presents delivered to her on her special day.
Densmore turned 73 years old.
Denmore was a former co-director at Kinderkirk Preschool in Carpinteria.
Densmore retired to help with her grandchildren.
