“UltraTooth” immediate dental implant

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, by age 17, 7 percent of people in the United States have lost at least one permanent tooth. Among adults from 35 to 44-years-old, 69 percent have lost at least one permanent tooth. 

Now patients can get tooth replacement with "UltraTooth," an FDA cleared invention allowing immediate normal use.

The UltraTooth (also known as the Sargon Implant) is placed in the tooth socket and expands to contact the bone immediately, proving an immediate anchor.

"The difference between conventional implants and the UltraTooth can be illustrated by thinking of a conventional implant as being cylinder shaped, like the Tower of Pisa," says Dr. Sargon Lazarof. "The UltraTooth expands with a screw mechanism, similar to the action of a wall anchor to take on a shape like the Eiffel Tower but inverted, wider at the top which creates an immediate and sound anchor that allows for immediate normal use."
