Marian Regional Medical Center: CEO rings bell in appreciation for all first responders
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Marian Regional Medical Center has launched "Hurrah's for Heroes" to thank all front-line employees for their work during this critical time.
As bells rang at the Marian Regional Medical Center, nurses doctors and other health professionals gathered in a moment of gratitude.
"It has been amazing to be recognized especially by the community. We have had such an out flowing positivity and gratefulness," said Lauren Bordeman with the Marian Regional Medical Center.
The chaplains of the hospital started the program to show recognition for not only the healthcare staff, but also to other essential employees out working during this health crisis.
"It’s all about saying thank you and thank you for who you are and thank you for all you give," said Flora Washburn with the Maria Regional Medical Center.
The chaplains are also reaching to local churches to participate in the bell dining.
President and CEO Sue Andersen served as the bell ringer this week.
"We thought it would be a good idea to ring the bells we have beautiful bell towers here at Marian and we thought it would be great to ring the bells and recognize our team as well as the team around us," said Andersen.
Andersen believes the ringing of the bells is also meant to show everyone that we are a community.
