Firefighters called to Montecito home, put out small fire
MONTECITO, Calif. - Firefighters put out a small but 'tricky' fire at a large house in Montecito.
Crews from several local agencies, including Montecito Fire, responded to the 2000 block of Boundary Drive just after 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke showing from the front door, and attic vents.
Fire officials said the fire started near the fireplace, was contained to a small area in the attic and sub flooring at the home. The fire was put out in about an hour.
Resources from five agencies were needed to find and extinguish the fire, according the Instagram post describing the call.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The family who lives there was home at the time, but no one was injured.
