Italy fuel depot blast kills 2 and injures more than a dozen. 3 others missing
MILAN (AP) — Italian authorities say at least two people have been killed in a fuel depot explosion in the central region of Tuscany. Fourteen people were injured and three others were believed missing in a building that collapsed nearby. Italy’s ENI oil company said the cause of the explosion Monday at the depot in Calenzano near Florence is under investigation. ENI said the flames were confined to a loading area and didn’t spread to nearby tanks. Firefighters brought the flames under control. Regional train services that were interrupted by the smoke were resuming. And environmental officials determined that the air quality was safe.
