Steve Bannon’s trial in a border wall charity scheme case delayed until February

Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — Conservative strategist Steve Bannon’s border wall fundraising trial has been postponed to February, instead of next month. A New York judge reset the date Monday. Meanwhile, prosecutors disclosed that Bannon himself once suggested in a private email that the nonprofit venture was “a scam.” The former Trump White House adviser recently finished serving federal prison time for a contempt of Congress conviction. Now he’s dealing with a state prosecution related to the defunct “We Build The Wall” campaign. He’s pleaded not guilty to charges including conspiracy and money laundering.
