Grover Beach City Council considers water resiliency measures and rate adjustments
GROVER BEACH, Calif. – Grover Beach City Council announced Wednesday that it will be initiating new considerations for water resiliency measures and rate adjustments.

Central Coast Blue and Water Rates Update
Grover Beach, CA - On Monday, April 22, the Grover Beach City Council received an update on the City’s water supply, including future water supply and demand projections, options for securing additional supply and the effects of recent changes to the Central Coast Blue project on City water rates.
Following the discussion and public comment, the City Council directed City staff to:
- Initiate withdrawal from the Central Coast Blue project and the Central Coast Blue Regional Recycled Water Joint Powers Authority (JPA).
- Develop a new work plan for water resiliency and consider a variety of approaches to securing additional supply.
- Modify the City’s water rate structure to eliminate funding for the Central Coast Blue project while still maintaining funding for water resiliency efforts.
- Incorporate public engagement into water resiliency planning.
