Vehicle crashes into liquor store in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a car that crashed into a business on Las Positas Road Thursday evening.
The crash occurred around 7:26 p.m. at Las Positas Liquor in Santa Barbara.
The car completely entered the business, crashing through glass windows and damaging store shelving.
Santa Barbara County Fire said that the car had a single occupant who was not injured. No one inside the store was injured either.
Firefighters are helping the store owner to remove the vehicle from the store. The building department is also on their way to determine the extent of damage to the building structure and what it will need to do to reopen.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, though an investigator told NewsChannel 3 that drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
