Firefighters knock down RV fire on Highway 101 near Buellton

BUELLTON, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Fire knocked down an RV fire on Highway 101 near Buellton on Friday afternoon.

At around 12:41 p.m., Santa Barbara County responded to reports of an RV fire on Highway 101 and Highway 1 near Buellton.

County firefighters responded to smoke in the area and found the RV fully engulfed in flames.

According to the CHP report log, a nearby brush also caught on fire.

Crews on scene were able to knock down the fire.

Highway 101 southbound on Highway 1 offramp was closed.

Officials say there is heavy traffic in the area.
