RV catches fire in Ventura, threatens nearby structures

VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura City Fire responded to a structure fire on Sunday afternoon.

It happened on the 800 block of Riverside St. around 3:52 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, the first crew discovered an RV that caught fire.

Fire officials said the RV was threatening two outdoor sheds, the eaves of the main house on the property and a vehicle parked adjacent to the motorhome.

Firefighters initiated a rapid fire attack on the motorhome and shed to prevent further spread.

Additional arriving crews assisted with fire attack and made were able to enter inside the house and up the attic of the home to confirm no involvement.

There were no injuries to Firefighters or civilians as a result of this incident.

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
