OXNARD, Calif. - A special gang unit and K-9 unit helped make a traffic stop that led to the discovery of a number of guns and an arrest.

On Sunday around 12:20 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the CenterPoint Mall for a vehicle code violation.

During that traffic stop, officers contacted 25-year-old Martin Zamora who was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Officers observed illegal items inside the car and a search resulted in finding 3 firearms (a loaded AR-15 style assault rifle, a loaded 9mm semi-auto handgun and a .357 revolver) and a loaded 40 round 5.56 caliber high capacity magazine.

None of the firearms located were registered to Zamora. Zamora is also a criminal street gang member, he was arrested for numerous felony weapons charges.
