THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The Ventura County Fire Department responded to multiple reports of a structure fire in North Ranch on Monday.

One report given by a passerby said that a shed behind a house located at 3982 Oak Hollow Circle in North Ranch, Thousand Oaks, was on fire. A second passerby reported that the house itself was on fire.

Initially, firefighters dispatched three engines and a ladder truck in accordance with a typical structure fire response at 11:54 a.m.

When the first engine arrived on the scene around 12 p.m., they found only the shed to be on fire, so dispatch was reduced to just the three engines.

Ventura County Fire said the shed was located 27 feet from the single family home on the property.

Firefighters said they successfully isolated the blaze to the shed so that there was no threat to the house. The fire was fully extinguished at 12:06 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Fire investigators are on the scene making a report.
