Fire damages yacht docked in Ventura’s West Marina

Ventura City firefighters douse the flames on a 40-foot yacht docked in the West Marina.

VENTURA, Calif. - A 40-foot yacht caught fire Tuesday morning in Ventura's West Marina. The boat was docked and on fire when Ventura City firefighters arrived at 1:48 a.m.

The boat was surrounded by other docked vessels. Firefighters and Harbor Patrol worked to put out the fire while other firefighters moved the nearby boats. No other vessels were damaged as a result of the fire.

No one was onboard at the time of the fire, according to officials. The yacht fire is under investigation.
