Santa Maria crews add all-way stop on Union Valley Parkway

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- City of Santa Maria crews worked on an all-way stop at the intersection of Union Valley Parkway and California Boulevard Monday.

Officials say they installed signs and pavement markings from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Union Valley Parkway lanes heading toward the intersection were detoured at Blosser Road and Foxenwood Lane.

City staff urged drivers to be obey the traffic signs and road closures.

They also asked cars to slow down in construction zones.

Drivers were warned they could experience delays during the construction.

The city recommended people to take alternate routes to minimize inconveniences from the work.
