Santa Barbara police investigating after pedestrian hit by car

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara Police Department and Santa Barbara City Fire Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident in the San Roque neighborhood Santa Barbara Tuesday evening.

The crash occurred around 7:45 p.m. near State Street and Calle Palo Colorado.

The Santa Barbara City Fire Department said Engine 4 responded to the incident.

Upon arriving, fire personnel found an injured 16-year-old male who had been hit by a vehicle traveling northbound.

The fire department said the victim sustained minor injuries and was alert and moving. He was transported to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Santa Barbara police are investigating the incident.
