Driver and dog rescued from crash in Lompoc

The Lompoc Fire Department helped a man and his dog after crash.

LOMPOC, Calif. - The Lompoc City Fire Department responded to a crash Tuesday between a single-occupant car and a semi-truck.

Responders said the semi-truck was parked at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries, but his small dog was trapped under the vehicle's dashboard.

Firemen safely removed the dog from the car and returned him to his owner with only minor injuries.

No one else was harmed in the crash.
