Santa Maria Post Acute faces outbreak of COVID-19 Cases

There’s been 40 COVID-19 cases and one death reported at the Santa Maria Post Acute facility.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Post Acute is facing an outbreak of COVID-19 cases.

Santa Barbara County Public Health confirmed dozens of people at the facility have tested positive.

There are 38 residents and 24 staff members with COVID-19.

County Health says the facility currently has the biggest outbreak at a skilled nursing facility in Santa Barbara County since the beginning of the pandemic.

KCOY NewsChannel 12 reached out to the care center for a response, but they declined to comment at this time.
