A new business opens at the Santa Maria Town Center

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Luxe Curvy is a new Woman's Boutique that opened this weekend at the Santa Maria Town Center.

CEO Angie Maldonado began her journey with Luxe Boutique in Pismo Beach. Now she is bringing her hand picked pieces to Santa Maria.

“I want every woman to feel beautiful, confident and sexy and everything that they wear that," said Maldonado.

Lucero Flores from Santa Maria said fashion can make anyone feel confident.

“When I came into the store, I saw a lot of things where I was like, Oh my gosh, I didn't even know they made it in those sizes.. Maybe it could help someone get out of their comfort zone, you know, and just, you know, throw on that top and throw on those jeans and that dress and just make someone feel beautiful," said Flores.

Maldonado travels across California to find the latest trends for her clients. She rapidly learned at her first boutique the needs of her clients.

“Our community needed more stores where they actually carry nice, trendy clothing for all sizes.. I do go out of town to the fashion district and we meet with multiple, multiple vendors. When we go out there, we have our special meet. They show us our colors, what's on trend, what's hot right now," said Maldonado.

Maldonado said she is also happy to contribute to the economy of her own hometown.

“We are going to be meeting managers and other associates. So I feel like that can boost the economy so much," said Maldonado.
