SpaceX launches Starlink satellites at Vandenberg Space Force base
VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. -- SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink satellites Monday evening.
As scheduled, the rocket launched at around 8:55 p.m. from the Space Launch Complex 4E at the Vandenberg Space Force Base.
The Falcon 9 rocket was carrying 51 Starlink satellites, to join a constellation of other spacecrafts launched from Florida to create satellite-based internet.
This was the first launch on this from the west coast, and the third launch in the last 11 days from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
