Marian Health Center shows their staff appreciation with picnic-themed meal in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. -- Dignity Health's Marian Extended Care Center staff got a special surprise on Friday.

Medical staff members were treated to a picnic-themed meal by the Director of Nursing Jill Ledbetter.

Ledbetter and Senior Director Debbie Mockler-Young coordinated, paid for and served the staff fried chicken, potato salad, biscuits and cookies.

This event was to show their appreciation for all the hard work their staff has been doing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ledbetter says they decided to whip up a surprise meal filled with comfort food to encourage camaraderie during this difficult time was the best way to show that they honor and value their staff's hard work.

Marian Extended Care Center is a nursing center providing sub-acute health care for individuals in need of short-term, intermediate or long-term care.

Marian Extended Care is located across the street from Marian Regional Medical Center.
