Chinese American local in Santa Barbara shares how Monterey Park Shooting hits close to home

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – The Saturday Monterey Park shooting hit home for many Chinese Americans like Hong Lieu, a Santa Barbara resident with deep LA roots.

Lieu says he was at the Lunar New Year Festival on Saturday, adding that his father regularly participates in ballroom dancing in the same area the shooting took place.

We will spoke with Lieu on Tuesday afternoon to see how he is coping with this tragedy.
