Maren Morris to stop at Santa Barbara Bowl for headlining show in September

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Grammy-award winning singer Maren Morris announced that she will stop at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Sept. 15 as part of her headlining tour, "The Lone Bellow."

Morris is nominated for Female Artist of the Year at Monday night's 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, according to Jessica Puchli, spokeswoman for Goldenvoice.

She is also nominated for two Grammy awards this year, Best Country Song for "Better Than We Found It" and and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Chasing After You" – a collaboration with her husband, Ryan Hurd.

Additionally, Morris' new album, "Humble Quest," is set to release on March 25 and contains two already-released singles that have received praise from Rolling Stone and Billboard, Puchli said.

Morris began writing songs for this album in the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, as she learned how to deal with major life changes such as new motherhood, an upended career, lockdown, and the death of a close friend, Puchli said.

"She felt control over life quickly slipping until she had an epiphany — she was never in control in the first place," Puchli continued.

"This inspired her to reckon with the concept of humility as she thought about how the goal of appearing humble puts artists, especially women, in a box with unrealistic demands."

Presales for Morris' Sept. 15 show begin Tuesday, March 8 and run through Thursday, March 10. For additional information on presale tickets, visit marenmorris.com.

General sale tickets go on sale Friday, March 11 at 10 a.m. via AXS.com.
