Santa Barbara County Animal Services assists with North Complex Fire animal evacuations

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Santa Barbara County Animal Services announced that a couple of their staff members embarked on a journey north to help with the raging North Complex Fire.

Staff members Jessica Wiebe and J Bixby will specifically be assisting with animal evacuations in Butte County over the next five days.

The North Complex Fire broke out Aug. 18 at Flemmings Sheep Camp and has since burned 280,775 acres of Plumas and Butte counties in California.

As of Thursday, the fire is 36% contained.
