UPDATE: Cave Fire 85% contained

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Santa Barbara County Fire Department announced on Saturday that the Cave Fire is now at 85% containment, remaining at 3,126 acres.

Public Information Officers, Daniel Bertucelli and Mike Eliason said that 50 firefighters are working to reduce burning material around the edges of the fire.

They predict full containment of the Cave Fire should occur by Wednesday, Dec. 4, if the weather permits. If the weather does not permit, they predict the fire will be fully contained by Dec. 13th.

Cal Trans is hoping to reopen Highway 154 by Monday.
