SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – The San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder's Office announced it will increase fees by $2 and update its service hours starting on Jan. 1, 2024.

The Office provided more details in the following press release:

Effective January 1, 2024, the County of San Luis Obispo Clerk-Recorder’s Office will have new hours and an increase in fees for recorded documents.

The new hours will be Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the last transactions accepted at 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday, the office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the last transactions accepted at 3:30 p.m. After 4:30 (3:30 on Wednesday), the public kiosks will be open and staff will be available to answer questions for another 30 minutes. Documents presented after the 4:30/3:30 cut-off time will be processed the next day.

The change in hours will allow the Clerk-Recorder’s Office to regularly conduct important all-staff meetings and employee training while minimizing overtime expenses.

In addition to the new hours, January 1 will also bring a $2.00 increase in the recording fee for the first page of any document, along with increases in Fish and Wildlife CEQA document fees. More information about the increases and a complete fee schedule can be found online at slovote.com.

The Clerk-Recorder’s Office is located in the Katcho Achadjian County Government Center at 1055 Monterey Street, Suite D120, in San Luis Obispo. Questions about the new hours and fees can be directed to the office at 805-781-5080.
