Tourists in San Luis Obispo enjoy the Holiday Plaza
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.-- Tourists traveled across the Central Coast to visit San Luis Obispo's Holiday Plaza.
Jessica Arroyo and Jacob Saret from San Diego take an annual road trip to San Francisco for the holidays.
“I love San Luis Obispo. It's one of my favorite stops on the road trip. Very beautiful here. I love walking up and down Monterey and Higuera and it's just a great place to spend the holidays. I wish we could stay longer," said Saret.
The couple makes stops across the Central Coast from Santa Barbara through Salinas.
“It's been an easy drive this year. Yeah. You know, nothing wrong with stopping and seeing all the sights, all the local flavor, and all the wonderful communities along California's coast," said Saret.
The holiday travelers say they look forward to gift shopping in San Luis Obispo.
“San Luis Obispo especially has a nice mix of local and like chain stores, which is really great to see because it's very easy to do all of your Christmas shopping," said Saret.
Local travelers from Oxnard Jose Celedon and Zaira Lopez said they wanted to visit San Luis Obispo for the Holiday decor.
“We heard that there was Christmas decorations are really known for their downtown Christmas decor that they have,” said Celedon.
The traveling friends said they wanted to visit San Luis Obispo for its unique shopping boutiques.
“We heard a lot about San Luis Obispo when it comes to small businesses and vintage and artistry. So that's what we also came to shop small for the holidays here as well,” said Celedon.
