Truck crashes into second truck who was just trying to fill up at gas station in Paso Robles
PASO ROBLES, Calif. - A truck that was driving recklessly crashed straight into another truck who police said was just trying to fill up at a gas station in Paso Robles Saturday evening.
The Paso Robles Police Department responded to the crash which took place at the intersection of Spring Street and 7th Street.
Police explained in a Facebook post that the driver of the black truck was traveling northbound up Spring Street when they attempted to pass another car using the two-way left turn lane.
However, the car the truck was attempting to pass sped up. The black truck realized suddenly that there was another car in the left turn lane and swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting it.
The driver tried to make a left turn onto 7th Street but wasn't able to complete the turn because of their high speed.
Police said the black truck ended up careening into the corner gas station and smashing straight into another truck who had been parked at a gas pump, sheering off the gas pump in the process.

Police investigated and determined that drugs and alcohol were not involved.
Nobody was injured in the collision.
