Injured hiker rescued by helicopter on Bishop Peak

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo City Fire Department, CAL FIRE and California Highway Patrol successfully airlifted an injured hiker on Bishop Peak Saturday afternoon.

SLO City Fire posted a video of the rescue on Twitter at 3:18 p.m.

Engine 4, Truck 2, UTV 2 and Battalion 1 are working with CAL FIRE SLU one rescue of injured hiker on Bishops Peak. CHP H-70 is assisting with the rescue. pic.twitter.com/DH4X6xmnUy

In the video, we see a CHP H-70 which is an Airbus or helicopter equipped with hoists that are used to airlift patients and emergency personnel during rescues.

We do not know the current condition of the hiker.
