Highway 41 closed at Highway 46 after gas truck overturned, possibly leaking
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - Highway 41 is closed at Highway 46, an area known as the Cholame "Y". An overturned gas truck could be leaking gas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A hazmat team has been dispatched to the scene. Detours around the closure include State Route 33 and Interstate 5.
The accident was first reported around 6 a.m. and only involved the gas truck.
There is no estimate for when the roadway will reopen.
The CHP Traffic Incident Information page says Highway 41 will be closed overnight.
Templeton CHP officers say the reopening is currently to be determined depending on clean up and clearance.
