Teddy bears help comfort kids in San Luis Obispo hospital
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif -- A special donation was made Friday to help comfort kids in the hospital
San Luis Obispo Blues Baseball and the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District donated 52 teddy bears to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the two organizations have teamed up for the Double-Play Teddy Bear Sponsorship.
It helps children at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. For every double play in this past Blues season, two teddy bears were donated.
The bears are given out to kids when they are feeling nervous or upset. The staff and volunteers at the hospital say the children love them.
