‘The Cooking Mom’ Amy Hanten’s ultimate, easy Thanksgiving meal

Stressed out heading towards Thanksgiving? The Cooking Mom, Amy Hanten, has the solutions you need for a stress-free, enjoyable holiday.

She joined the team on FOX11 with tips for the perfect turkey and whipped up her Cheesy Corn Green Chili Casserole.

TURKEY TIPS
1. Prep Turkey. Make sure turkey is completely thawed.  Remove giblets from turkey. Rinse turkey with water.  Pat turkey dry.

2. Season the inside and the outside and even under the skin.  Give the turkey extra flavor this years by injecting the turkey with a delicious marinade.

3. Roast turkey in a preheated 325 degree oven until the meat thermometer reads 165 degrees when inserted into the thickest part of the breast.

4. Cover turkey with foil and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
