Santa Barbara County firefighters respond to three roadside fires near Buellton

BUELLTON, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Fire responded to reports of roadside fires next to Highway 101 Monday afternoon.

On Monday at around 11:25 a.m., County Fire responded to reports of three separate roadside fires along Jonata Park Road north of Buellton.

Zaca Creek Tavern employees and nearby construction workers saw the flames and worked together to attach a 400 foot hose to a nearby fire hydrant.

County Fire said the series of flames burned an acre and were probably caused by loose chains from a passing car or truck.
