VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. - The Ventura County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Street Team arrested a man from North Hills for possession of heroin for sales on Thursday.

In early January, detectives found information that indicated Arthur Stepanian, 41, was involved in heroin sales to the residents of Ventura County, specifically the City of Thousand Oaks.

The detectives investigated and were able to confirm that Stepanian was involved in these crimes.

The detectives obtained a search warrant and located Stepanian's residence on the 8500 block of Columbus Avenue in the North Hills area of Los Angeles.

On Jan. 23, the detectives contacted Stepanian and detained him as he left his residence. They found a small quantity of heroin and drug paraphernalia in Stepanian's possession. He was then arrested and transported to Ventura County.

Detectives searched Stepanian's residence after his arrest and found additional heroin and paraphernalia indicative of narcotics sales. In total, the detectives seized 127 grams of heroin and about $27,000 believed to be the proceeds from narcotics sales.

Stepanian was arrested for heroin sales and booked at the Ventura County Jail.
