Suspect arrested for killing a man in Moorpark
MOORPARK, Calif. - One suspect was arrested by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office for the murder of a man in Moorpark on Friday.
The Sheriff's Communications Center received reports of shots fired at the Public Storage on Los Angeles Avenue around 2:20 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Moorpark Police responded to the location and found a man who had died. Police determined the death to be a homicide.
An investigation then took place which led to information identifying murder suspect Elsworth Cadle. Deputies located Cadle and arrested him around 11:14 p.m. Friday night.
Police recovered a firearm during this investigation.
Cadle was booked at the Ventura County Jail for murder. His bail is set at $3 million.
