SIMI VALLEY, Calif. -- An assistant football coach was arrested for engaging in sexual acts with an underage student in Simi Valley on Monday.

Simi Valley Police Department arrested Bijan Nickroo II, 32, of Simi Valley for computer facilitated luring and solicitation of a child and oral copulation of a person under 16-years-old.

On Friday, Simi Valley Police Department School Resource Officer responded to a Child Abuse Investigation related to a Simi Valley High School student.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the School Resource Officer completed a crime report and forwarded the case to the Simi Valley Police Department Detective Bureau.

Nickroo was employed by the Simi Valley Unified School District at Simi Valley High School as an assistant Football and Lacrosse coach along with Yard Supervisor between June 2012 and December 13, 2019.

During the investigation, detectives found that Nickroo engaged in sexual acts with a fourteen-year-old student.

Nickroo is suspected of being in regular contact with a large number of students on social media.

Detectives have determined that Nickroo set up a fake profile that he used to successfully solicit pornographic selfies from students, many of which officials are still attempting to identify.

The minors attend a variety of schools in the local area, but appear to be primarily from Simi Valley High School.

Simi Valley Unified School District provided the following statement:
