Three arrested for armed robbery of Silver Strand store
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. -- Three men accused of robbing "The Corner Store" in the beach community of Silver Strand have been arrested.
Deputies were called to the store on Nov. 3 at about 11:40 a.m. Two men wearing maskes entered the store with a baseball bat and demanded money, alcohol, tobacco products and lottery tickets from the clerk, according to a news release from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators were able to later identify the suspect's vehicle and the suspects.
Gang Unit investigators contacted Danny Jacunide at his house on Nov. 8 during a probation search. Investigators said they found evidence from the robbery at his house and arrested him.
Another gang associate was also contacted and arrested at the residence for a felony warrant and robbery.
On the same day, Sheriff's Gang Unit detectives found and arrested Kevin Andrade in Ventura for his involvement in the robbery.
On November 13, investigators arrested a 17-year-old teenager and a second gang associate.
Andrade, Jacuinde and the 17-year-old were all arrested for their connection the the robbery, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.
Detectives said all three were identified as part of an Oxnard street gang.
They face multiple charges including robbery, conspiracy to commit a crime and street terrorism.
