Police investigating hit-and-run in Port Hueneme, bicyclist killed

PORT HUENEME, Calif. - A fatal hit-and-run accident is under investigation in Port Hueneme, Wednesday morning.

Port Hueneme Police say the collision between a car and bicycle happened around 5:30 a.m. along Ventura Road at Teakwood Street. The bicyclist died from their injuries. And the driver took off.

The victim has not been identified. Police are now looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle involved.

Ventura Road is closed going northbound from Teakwood to Channel Island Boulevard. Southbound lanes are open.
