Sheriff’s Office lifts shelter-in-place order for Goleta neighborhood after serving high-risk warrant

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - A shelter in place order for Goleta was lifted around 8:16 p.m. Tuesday.

Santa Barbara Police Officers, including the SWAT team and Detective Bureau, served a search warrant on Covington Way in Goleta, according to the police department.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department assisted. 

Around 7:25 p.m., The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office asked residents near Stow Grove Park to shelter in place.

 "The operation was conducted without incident. The investigation is ongoing," Santa Barbara Police spokesman Anthony Wagner said in a news release.

We do not yet known what the people arrested were wanted for.
