Dense fog impacting morning commute in several local communities

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A heavy layer of fog has settle into the Santa Maria valley Thursday morning. As well as other parts of the Central Coast. Paso Robles, Lompoc and the Santa Ynez Valley are all experiencing low visibility.

For drivers along the 101 in the northern part of Santa Barbara County they're dealing with the fog. The First Alert Weather Center is reporting less than a quarter-mile of visiblity.

By 7 a.m. the fog in Santa Maria was already starting to burn off. More clearing is expected throughout the day, leading to a clear and sunny day in most areas.
