UPDATE: Power outage due to failed transformer at Templeton substation

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - A power outage has been reported in Northern San Luis Obispo.

PG&E says the cause of the outage was due to a failed transformer at the Templeton substation.

PG&E crews will remain onsite working safely and quickly as possible to restore power.

According to the PG&E website, the outage started at 9:28 p.m. As of 11:28 p.m., 15,682 customers are without power.

That number has decreased from 18,753.

Power should be restored by 1:00 a.m.
