Goleta house fire contained to attic
GOLETA, Calif. - Santa Barbara County firefighters were able to prevent an attic fire from spreading to the rest of a Goleta home Thursday morning.
The fire broke out around 10:10 a.m. at a home in the 1400 block of Camino Meleno, north of Patterson Avenue.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and saw smoke coming from the left side of the home.
They were able to get to the fire, which was burning in the attic, and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the house.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
